The National Amputee Football Team of Liberia has successfully taken a giant step as they move to the next phase of their participation in the Great start in the ongoing Tanzania 2021 Amputee African Cup of Nations.
The Amputee Lone Star of Liberia demolished the Gambia 4:0 in her opening match on Monday to move a step closer to the next round of the tournament. Matthew Joe hat- track and Morilai Boakai lone goal were enough to move Liberia top of Group C.
Cameroon defeated the Gambia 3:2 on Sunday, but Liberia’s victory on Monday, November 29, 2021, means they are in total control of the group. Liberia was due to play Ethiopia in her opening match but the Eastern African region failed to turn up for the match.
Liberia’s next match is against Cameroon in her final group match on Tuesday at 1:00 PM Liberian time but it will be 4:00 PM-International time or in Tanzania.
