Monrovia, Liberia – Liberia’s U20 Girls National Team delivered a memorable performance at the 2026 WAFU-A U20 Girls Tournament in Guinea-Bissau, proudly finishing as runners-up and bringing home the silver medal after an inspiring campaign filled with determination, teamwork, and resilience. The young Liberian side showed tremendous character throughout the competition, battling against some of the strongest teams in the region and proving that the future of women’s football in Liberia continues to shine brightly. Amazing forward Makasia Saryon, who finished as the competition’s top scorer with four goals, was one of the tournament’s main talents and won the Golden Boot Award. Makasia’s skilful finishing, self-assurance in front of goal, and reliable performances were crucial to Liberia’s winning campaign.
