Monrovia, Liberia – The Liberia Water and Sewer Corporation (LWC) has increased emergency repairs of leaking water pipelines in various parts of Monrovia to fix damaged infrastructure and prevent disruptions to the supply of clean drinking water. The entity said its Field Service Team is doing 24-hour repairs along GSA Road, 72nd SKD Boulevard near the Total gas station, and in many other affected areas as part of a proactive effort to reduce water losses and guarantee ongoing service.
According to the LWC, prompt action is intended to prevent leaks that could endanger water delivery, waste treated water, and affect customer service. The entity also asked residents who were experiencing similar water leaks to report the incidents to ensure reaction teams are dispatched quickly to investigate and repair the broken pipelines.
LWC praised its Field Service Team for its professionalism, dedication, and commitment to ensuring the ongoing provision of clean, safe water to homes and businesses despite operational challenges. The ongoing repairs are part of the company’s broader plan to improve the reliability of Liberia’s water distribution network while lowering water losses caused by failing infrastructure and pipeline problems, it noted.
