The National Lottery Authority has launched the first of its kind Business Empowerment project for physically challenged individuals in the country. The institution as part of its normal activities also commenced the distribution of food and non-food items to physically challenge as parts of its social corporate responsibility.

Speaking at the launch of the exercise, Lottery Director-General, Reginald Nagbe said its Business Empowerment project will be rolled out in six counties where physically challenged individuals are given business products to strive for their living. Director-General Nagbe said the exercise is also being partnered with the National Union of Disable who helped in submitting the names of the targeted beneficiaries.

For her part, the National Union of Disabled President Naomi Harris commended the National Lottery Authority for the gesture saying that it will boost the livelihoods of persons living with disabilities.
