Rufus Anderson Name Three-person Team to Handle Upcoming LBA elections

Monrovia, Liberia – Rufus Anderson, the president of the Liberia Basketball Association, has constituted a three-person ad hoc election committee to oversee the organization’s upcoming elections. The committee has been tasked with creating an election schedule and set of rules that adhere to both the Federation of International Basketball Association (FIBA) internal norms and the LBA constitution.

The following people have been appointed, per the October 17, 2023, LBA release: Saywalla Jallah, Secretary General; Cllr. Nesta Urey, Co-Chair; and Mr. Darlington Cheeks, Chairman.

The press release further stated that the LBA President had asked the committee members to carry out their duties with professionalism and objectivity in separate contacts.

According to the announcement, the committee plans to issue the election schedule and procedures in the next few days.
