Second Chance Foundation and Great Commission Orphanage Award 15 Liberian Journalists

Monrovia, Liberia – Over ten Liberian journalists have received awards from the Second Chance Foundation and the Great Commission Orphanage for their exceptional work in the media.

The group is a humanitarian group aim at restoring lost hope to underprivileged children by seeking their welfare through education, advocacy, recreation, development and other humanitarian aid.

The awards according to the Executive Director Lassana B. Kanneh was presented base on vetting from the PUL to recognize the tireless efforts of Journalists in reporting and writing stories that promotes human rights and the rule of law.

The deserved journalists who have over the years provided the public with high-quality news reporting on topics like climate change and human interest stories should find inspiration in the award ceremony, he added.

He said the two organizations view the honorees as truth journalists and diplomats, and as such, they should continue to pursue the path of truth-telling.
