Zorzor District residents threaten to dethrone Pre. Weah come 2023

Dozens of angry Lofains in Zorzor District Lofa County have vowed to show President George Weah the exit door in the pending 2023 presidential and Legislative Elections if the National Elections Commission (NEC) denies Unity Party from fielding Candidates during the by-election.

The group of Lofains on Monday, April 25, 2022, informed a local radio station in Liberia OK FM in Zorzor District that, their plan decision to vote against the CDC at the polls in 2023 is a result of NEC’s alleged calculated plan to deny UP candidate from participating in the pending Senatorial Elections.

According to them, it is unfortunate for the NEC to deny Unity Party from feeding Candidate in the by-election while at the same time expressing dismay over the Liberian Government’s constant habit of witch-hunting the people of Lofa County.

They are however threatening to boycott the pending special senatorial by-election in Lofa County if the National Election Commission fails to allow Galakpai Kortimal.

Lofa County has for the last year and a half been without one of its two senators after former Defense Minister Brownie Samukai faced a hurdle in taking his seat.
