Mighty Barrolle Eliminated as NPA Pythons Reach LBA Finals

Paynesville, Liberia – Mighty Barrolle’s quest for a championship came to an end on Wednesday after falling 76-71 to NPA Pythons in the decisive game of their best-of-three semifinal series in the 2026 LBA First Division League. ‎The defeat marked Barrolle’s second consecutive loss to the Pythons, ending their title hopes and leaving their supporters disappointed as they exited the SKD Gymnasium.

‎Meanwhile, NPA Pythons celebrated a memorable series sweep to secure a place in the best-of-five championship finals. The Pythons will now await the winner of the other semifinal series between LPRC Oilers and Spartacus.

‎LPRC Oilers hold a 1-0 advantage after winning the opening game and will have the opportunity to clinch the series when the teams meet again on Monday during Liberia’s 179th Independence Day celebrations.

‎In the women’s semifinal, Flames continued their dominant run by defeating Highlanders 50-30 for a second straight victory, completing a series sweep and earning a place in the grand final.

‎Meanwhile, in the Men’s Division 2 semifinals, Bushrod Dreams advanced to the best-of-five championship series after defeating 72nd Wildcats 55-47 on Wednesday, completing a 2-0 series sweep.
