Awards Brand-New Car As Best Employee Honored

Monrovia, Liberia – Africa Global Logistics (AGL) Liberia celebrated employee excellence and reinforced its ambition to become Liberia’s leading logistics provider by honoring top-performing staff, presenting a brand-new vehicle to an employee in a grand raffle draw, and recognizing outstanding service during its Employee Appreciation and Liberia’s 179th Independence Day celebration, held Saturday at the Boulevard Palace Hotel in Sinkor.
The colorful event brought together management and employees to recognize exceptional performance, teamwork, and dedication while reaffirming the company’s commitment to building a highly motivated workforce. Also, the celebration featured birthday recognition for July-born employees and awards for staff whose contributions continue to drive the company’s success.
Addressing employees, AGL Liberia General Manager Remi Ayikoue Amavi urged staff to take pride in being part of one of the world’s largest logistics companies, emphasizing that their professionalism and daily conduct should reflect the values of the global AGL family. “You are part of a very big family. Be proud of being part of Africa Global Logistics, and let your behavior reflect the values of this great company,” Amavi said.
He challenged employees to embrace teamwork, innovation, and customer-focused service, stressing that while AGL is already Africa’s leading logistics company, the goal is to position AGL Liberia as the country’s number one logistics provider through discipline, commitment, and quality service. The ceremony’s highest individual honor went to Barbara J. Draper, who was named Best Employee of the Second Quarter for her exceptional performance, consistency, and dedication to excellence.
Speaking with journalists, an emotional Draper described the recognition as the fulfillment of a lifelong dream, dedicating the award to her husband and children, whom she credited as her greatest source of inspiration. “My life has been transforming since I joined AGL,” she said. “Every day I look forward to coming to work because the company challenges me to think, make decisions, and become a better person.”
She also encouraged colleagues to remain committed to excellent customer service, stressing the importance of collaboration and maintaining strong relationships with clients.
Also speaking, Human Resources representative Lamb Toe said the celebration reflected AGL’s appreciation for employees whose professionalism, commitment, and teamwork continue to strengthen the company’s operations and reputation.
Clearing and Forwarding Manager Cephus Bartuah praised management for creating a productive work environment and commended employees for their resilience and dedication to customer satisfaction. He described Draper as a role model, citing her calmness under pressure, willingness to embrace new responsibilities, and strong team spirit.
The celebration concluded on a high note when employee Numeh P. David won the grand prize, a brand-new vehicle, during a raffle draw, highlighting AGL Liberia’s commitment to rewarding and motivating its workforce.
