British Ambassador Bradley calls for Women’s participation in National Leadership

The call for women’s participation in national Leadership in Liberia has been championed by British Ambassador Neil Bradley.

Ambassador Bradley said Liberia stands to lose out on International support if women and girls are not priorities.
According to him, women and girls in the country are faced with lots of disadvantages and discrimination in many aspects of their lives noting that women play a significant role in sustaining the peace in the country.

Ambassador Bradley expressed that Women are very essential in decision making process as such, there is a urgent need to support women in their quest to participate in national Leadership in the country.

The UK Ambassador noted that the West African Nation has an attractive gender population that could bring in more international support for the country.

He said, the UK government is working on plans to invest more in women’s participation in Leadership, and at the same time called on those in Leadership to promote women’s participation in quality Leadership.

Ambassador Bradley expressed that Liberia has potential sectors that can attract international investment, he named the Mining sector, Energy sector, and Forestry among other sectors if given attention in the contest of Public-private partnerships will improve the local economy.

The British Ambassador noted that female should be granted national positions as compared to their male counterparts for the growth and development of the country.
Ambassador Neil Bradley made the accession on Monday, July 11, 2022, in Central Monrovia when he appeared as a guest on a local radio station Ok FM afternoon conversation.
