Indian Ambassador accredited to Liberia paid courtesy visit to Defense.

Monrovia, Liberia – H.E. Manoj Bihari, the Indian Ambassador to Liberia, paid the Minister of National Defense, Brg Gen (Rtd.) Geraldine Janet George-Johnson, a courtesy call on Tuesday, June 17. Minister George-Johnson and Ambassador Bihari exchanged pleasantries while reciting the mutually advantageous tars between the Indian government and the Ministry of Defense.

In his succinct remarks, the Indian Ambassador assure his government’s steadfast support and congratulate the Minister and Defense staff on being named one of the top three government institutions under the 2025 Performance and Service Delivery Contracts by Liberian President H.E. Amb. Joseph N. Boakai, Sr.

He listed engineering, improved healthcare delivery, expanding military-to-military ties, and capacity building as important areas of attention.

The Minister of National Defense responded by praising Ambassador Bihari for what she called a friendly and enlightening visit. As she expressed hope for ongoing support that will assist the Ministry become more effective and efficient, Minister Geraldine Janet George-Johnson emphasized that India’s assistance over the years had been carefully linked to the Ministry’s requirements.

At the conclusion of his visit, Ambassador Bihari presented Minister George-Johnson with a finely embellished Indian Iconic plague.
