Pleebo District to Face Maryland County Squad Ahead of County Meet

Maryland County, Liberia – The recently concluded one-day championship between Harper and Pleebo Districts ended in victory for Pleebo, and the winning team is set to face the Maryland County squad in preparation for the upcoming County Meet.

The match is scheduled for Sunday, December 7, 2025, at the Martha Tubman Stadium in Harper, providing an ideal venue for both teams to fine-tune their strategies ahead of the county competition. The encounter will also give standout district players a chance to earn selection for the county squad.

Pleebo District coach Govi Nani Phillips expressed confidence in his team, saying, “Our goal is to give our players the opportunity to shine and secure spots on the county team.”

Supporting Coach Phillips are Assistant Coach Baby J, Trainer Villa, and Team Medic Jerry Gbee, who will ensure the squad is well-prepared and physically fit for the challenge.

Coach Phillips is expected to field 18 players for the match against Coach Watala Moore’s Maryland County team, promising an exciting and competitive showdown.
