Sinoe County Citizens Expresses Concern About the Termination of Trainer Parjibo and Goalie Sumo’s Services.

Monrovia, Liberia – Residents of Sinoe County are reportedly divided over the decision made by the County’s Sports Steering Committee, which is led by Crayton Duncan, to fire goalkeeper Marvin Sumo and goalie trainer Claudius Parjibo, also known as Hundred.

Goalkeeper trainer Claudius Parjibo and goalkeeper Marvin Sumo were both charged with match-fixing by the Sinoe County Sports Steering Committee.

Sinoe lost 2-1 in Group-C of the 2024/2025 National County Sports meet in Greenville City on Wednesday as a consequence of both players leaving the Sinoe team’s camp in Lexington to visit the Lofa County camp in an attempt to sabotage the game.

Following the dismissal of both individuals, numerous locals expressed their ire on Facebook, criticizing the County’s Sports Steering Committee’s decision.

They claim that because the goalie’s performance during their 2-0 victory over Rivercess County was outstanding, the committee are unfairly blaming him and his training for the loss of the second game. It is regrettable for the County’s sports team to accuse him of selling the game against Lofa due to the 2-1 loss the citizens said.

Goalkeeper Marvin Sumo, however, made accusations against Coach Bra Dixon’s technical staff. He claimed that Coach Dixon was under the effect of alcohol, which was a major factor in the team’s loss.

A day after the game, he made the comment during an appearance on Sinoe County’s Liberty radio station. The Sinoe County Football team, meanwhile, is one victory or draw away from making it to the quarterfinals of the competition.

They will take on Gbarpolu County in their third match this weekend. The Greenville boys are on 3-points from two matches after winning their opening match 2-0 against Rivercess before losing 2-1 to the Wolozisi boys of Lofa.

This weekend, they will play their third game against Gbarpolu County.

After defeating the Wolozisi boys of Lofa 2-1 after winning their first game 2-0 against Rivercess, the Greenville boys are now on 3-points after two games.

After dropping two consecutive games a 3-0 home run against Lofa and a 1-0 home run against Rivercess, it seemed hopeless for the kickball club. With a victory or draw in every game, the Lofa football and kickball teams are both in a strong position to advance to the quarterfinals.

After a victory and a draw, they have four points apiece from their two games. This weekend’s last set of matches versus Rivercess will be the last showpiece.
