Several high-profile matches took place on Thursday, January 6, 2021, in continuation of the 2021/ 2022 Orange 1st division national league. Grand Cape Mount County-based Bea Mountain managed a 2:1 win at home to a newly promoted Sandi FC.

The win took them to the top of the league table with 18 points from nine matches and two points clear of second-place Freeport FC who still has a game on hand. At the Doris Williams sports Center in Grand Bassa County,  the “Kayan Pepper Boys” of Mighty Barrolle bowed to Watanga FC by 3 goals to nil. Chauncey Freeman, Sunny Boy Dolo, and Elijah Clarke scored all three goals for Watanga FC.

The most surprising results were the defeats of the league defending Champions, LPRC Oilers to Nimba United at the North Star Stadium in Mount Barclay, and a defeat of LISCR FC to Monrovia Club Breweries at the Antoinette Tubman Stadium in Center Monrovia. Both clubs lost 2:1 each to Nimba United and Monrovia Club Breweries.

Heaven Eleven settled to a one-all draw with Invisible Eleven (IE) at the Yekepa Sports pitch in Nimba County. While Freeport FC and Nimba Kwadoe FC match was postponed.
