CCA Founder Storms Liberia With Unity Gospel Mission

Reported by: Prince Saah

Monrovia, Liberia—The Founder and Continental President of the Council for Churches in Africa (CCA), Bishop Dr. Rocky Moyo, has arrived in Liberia with a bold mission to officially launch the continental religious body and rally churches across the country under what he describes as a United Kingdom agenda. Speaking shortly after his arrival at the Roberts International Airport, Bishop Moyo declared that the CCA is open to all Christian denominations and believers willing to promote unity, peace, empowerment, and moral transformation across Africa.

“If you are a man or woman of God, you are part of us. We are one body of Christ through the CCA. This organization is continental and seeks to work with all Christian denominations and society,” Bishop Moyo said.

The Council for Churches in Africa is a faith-based, ecumenical, and non-governmental institution operating in 43 African countries under the voluntary arm of the African Union. Liberia is expected to become the organization’s 44th member state following the launch of the CCA-Liberia Charter. Bishop Moyo, who is visiting Liberia for the first time, was received by top church leaders, including Apostle John O. Zayzay, Dr. Wallah D. Wilsitoe, and Bishop Dr. David D. Dann, along with scores of members dressed in CCA regalia.

Describing Liberians as peaceful and hospitable people, Bishop Moyo praised the warm reception he received upon entering the country. “I am excited to be here. God is in control,” he added. During his stay, Bishop Moyo is expected to launch the CCA-Liberia Charter, ordain and consecrate church leaders, conduct leadership and business conferences, and honor pastors and Christian organizations for their contributions to national and spiritual development.

Addressing journalists, the South African-based cleric stressed that his mission is not to divide churches but to unite Christian leaders and strengthen society through faith and collaboration with government and civil society institutions. “We are looking for all leaders in Liberia to join us in building the body of Christ,” he emphasized.

At a joint press conference held at In God We Trust Outreach Ministries on the GSA Road Rehab Junction, Apostle Zayzay and Dr. Wilsitoe outlined the organization’s vision to empower pastors and churches educationally, financially, and spiritually, especially those at the grassroots level. According to Apostle Zayzay, the CCA also offers online university programs aimed at equipping pastors and church leaders with skills in administration, leadership, and self-reliance.

Dr. Wilsitoe noted that empowering church members economically would enable them to support their families, contribute meaningfully to society, and strengthen the church through tithes and offerings. The organization has already launched a nationwide expansion drive targeting all 15 counties through the establishment of county and district coordinators.

Meanwhile, Bishop Moyo captivated participants at the ongoing church leadership conference with strong warnings against fake spirituality and unhealthy competition among pastors. “Anyone truly called by God does not use charm or ‘juju’ to attract a congregation,” he declared, drawing applause from worshippers and church leaders attending the conference.

He further stressed the importance of spiritual mentorship, saying every genuine servant of God must have a spiritual father for guidance, citing the biblical relationship between Eli and Samuel. Bishop Moyo also reminded Christians that trials and opposition are part of genuine ministry, declaring that any pastor who faces no criticism may not be truly called by God. The two-day church business conference continues this week, with organizers urging pastors, government officials, and the public to attend and benefit from the teachings and empowerment sessions.
