He said he also aimed to improve cooperation and partnership between Ethiopia and Liberia. Hon. Admassu expressed his delight for Liberia’s natural beauty. He said the nation is incredibly green, endowed with abundant natural resources, and has serene settings. According to him, Liberia has great potential for development if its resources are properly managed and protected.

The former Ethiopian prime minister emphasized that Africa is a valuable and worthy continent with many opportunities. However, he noted that many African countries have suffered exploitation in the name of foreign investment. He encouraged African leaders to prioritize the interests of their citizens when dealing with international investors. He explained that African nations should work harder to protect their resources and create opportunities for their people. Hon. Admassu believes that investments should bring development, jobs, and better living conditions instead of taking advantage of local communities.

Speaking about Ethiopia and Liberia, he emphasized their shared histories of civil war and internal conflicts. According to him, these common experiences foster a close relationship between the two countries and can improve mutual understanding and collaboration amongst their citizens. During his visit to the disabled community in Liberia, Hon. Admassu held meaningful discussions with several individuals. He listened carefully to their concerns and challenges and showed genuine care and compassion for their well-being. He noted that the conversations touched him deeply and increased his desire to support them.

The former prime minister stressed that people living with disabilities deserve equal rights and opportunities in society. He encouraged governments and organizations to create programs that provide education, healthcare, and employment opportunities for disabled individuals. According to him, empowering people with disabilities will help them contribute positively to national development. Additionally, Hon. Admassu urged increased assistance for women in Liberia and throughout Africa. According to him, women should have equal opportunity in leadership, education, and business because they play a significant role in society. He urged women to persevere and keep making contributions to the development of their communities.

He also called on African nations to forge closer ties with one another. He clarified that major issues like poverty, unemployment, and underdevelopment may be resolved by African nations working together. He reckons Africa can accomplish more development when its leaders cooperate for the good of the populace. Hon. Tamrat Layne Admassu’s visit to Liberia conveyed a message of compassion, solidarity, and optimism. His commitment to African development and his care for vulnerable populations are demonstrated by his promise to assist women and the disabled community. Many Liberians expressed gratitude for his remarks and expressed hope for future increased collaboration between Ethiopia and Liberia.
