President Weah Receives Letters of Credence from Zimbabwe’s New Ambassador

Liberia’s President, George Manneh Weah, has reaffirmed his country’s commitment to assisting Zimbabwe in achieving continental and global peace and security. Mr. Weah made the claim after receiving Letters of Credence from Mr. Kufa E. Chinoza, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zimbabwe accredited to Liberia, on Thursday, May 19, 2022.

President Weah greeted the new Zimbabwean envoy on his appointment and wished him luck during his tour of duty in Liberia after receiving the Letters of Credence at the Executive Mansion.

President Weah praised Ambassador Chinoza’s predecessor’s work in Liberia and hoped that the new Ambassador’s tenure will strengthen the two nations’ ties. He took advantage of the opportunity to encourage Zimbabwean investors to engage in tourism, trade, mining, and agriculture in Liberia.

The new Zimbabwean envoy thanked President Weah for his warm welcome and wished him well as Head of State.

Ambassador Chinoza’s Letter of Credence was handed to the Liberian President two days after ambassadors from South Africa, the Czech Republic, the ECOWAS Commission, and The Gambia presented their Letters of Credence in the Executive Mansion.
