Charlyn Brumskine Returns to Liberty Party

CALLS FOR UNITY.

Monrovia, Liberia – The late Liberian politician Charles Brumskine’s daughter, Cllr. Charlyne Brumskine, has emphasized the importance of complete unity among Liberty Party partisans and supporters.

Speaking during a Special National Convention in Monrovia on Friday, February 7, 2025, Cllr. Brumskine praised the Party’s executive committee members for their vision in uniting Party members. She said the EC’s action was timely and wise.

Reconciliation, in her opinion, is crucial, and as such, all party members including those who are still considering joining need to be brought together.

She also reiterated her dedication to the party and said,  it is time to bring the nation together following a tense election process.

According to Cllr. Brumskine, the nation’s 2023 presidential and legislative elections are over, and it is now time for peacemaking.

It can be recalled that during the 2023 elections, Liberty Party was heavily divided with the former party chairman and now Nimba County District #7 Representative Musa Hassan Bility friction supported the Collaborating Political Parties ( CPP )standard beaver Alexander Cummings while Senator Nyonblee-Kangar Lawrence friction supported major opposition now the current ruling Unity Party.

The internal conflicts however, led most of LP partisans and supporters vulnerable why other were seeking new political homes. With the reconciliation engagement couple with the special convention and new party headquarters been introduced, will pave the way for partisans to returns.
