Monrovia, Liberia – A sick resident of Caldwell in District #16, Montserrado County, is requesting financial support from the government of Liberia, humanitarian groups, and kindhearted persons in an effort to travel abroad for urgent medical care.
Recently, medical professionals at John F. Kennedy (JFK) Medical Center diagnosed Samuel M. Kamara with cancer and a dangerous liver health condition. After medical evaluations, experts recommended that he go overseas for more advanced treatment because Liberia does not provide the necessary care.
Medical estimates indicate that the treatment, travel, and associated costs will amount to about $50,000 USD. Kamara stated in an interview with Reportes231 Media Network that he cannot afford the necessary course of treatment.
As a result, he is seeking assistance from well-wishers, philanthropic organizations, Liberian diaspora members, and government officials. “I am asking for your support to help save my life. I cannot afford the cost of the treatment on my own, and I sincerely appeal to anyone who can assist me,” Kamara said.
Samuel Kamara is hoping that the kindness of people and organizations would allow him to get the specialist medical attention he desperately needs and give him a chance to get better.
