Monrovia, Liberia—Quita Kosso Dolo, a Liberian businesswoman, entered a guilty plea to charges related to an ongoing cocaine trafficking case before the 13th Judicial Circuit Court in Margibi County. Court documents state that Dolo and co-defendant Adudlla Sheriff both pleaded guilty during Friday’s hearings.
The main focus of the case is the purported discovery of over three kilograms of cocaine in Dolo’s luggage at Roberts International Airport. Following Dolo’s arrival in Liberia from Bangkok, Thailand, on Kenya Airways Flight KQ887, the drugs were discovered, according to investigators.
Four additional defendants involved in the case, including multiple Liberia Drug Enforcement Agency (LDEA) officials, entered not guilty pleas and are scheduled to go on trial. According to the LDEA, the estimated street value of the cocaine found during the investigation is over $181,000. Prosecutors are still pursuing the remaining defendants; therefore, the matter is still pending before the court.
