Free Town, Sierra Leone – The Liberia Football Association has proudly congratulated two of its dedicated staff members for successfully completing the West African Football Union Competitions Management Workshop held in Freetown, Sierra Leone from April 20–22, 2026.
Borris Weah, Competitions Officer, and Mercy P. Fassah, Competitions and Club Licensing Officer, were among 17 participants representing various WAFU A Member Associations during the three-day capacity-building program.

The workshop aimed to strengthen the competition management skills of regional football officials by equipping them with the knowledge and expertise needed to meet international standards and organize professional, high-quality tournaments across West Africa.
The LFA expressed sincere appreciation to WAFU Zone A for organizing such an impactful initiative and for its continued support in improving football administration standards throughout the region.
As part of its ongoing commitment to developing Liberian football, the LFA continues to invest in building the capacity of its workforce, ensuring its staff are well-equipped to lead with excellence and contribute to the sustainable growth of the game in Liberia.
