Following the passing of Edison Arantes Nascimento, better known as Pele

Monrovia- Liberia President George Manneh Weah has sent a condolence message to President Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, President-Elect of the Federal Republic of Brazil following the death of Edison Arantes Nascimento popularly Known as Pele. He passed away on December 29, 2022, on Thursday, at the age of 82. (82).

According to a statement from the foreign ministry, President George Manneh Weah expressed his sincere condolences to His Excellency Luiz Inacio Lula Da Silva, President-Elect of the Federal Republic of Brazil, as well as to the government and people of Brazil and, in particular, the bereaved Family, for the irreparable loss suffered on behalf of the government and people of Liberia.

According to President Weah, Pele will be remembered as one of the all-time great football players and a legend of Brazilian sport.
